Reed Family Enterprises and our Planet Ford location in Spring and Humble, Texas are proud to join forces with Boots For Troops to help deliver a very Merry Christmas gift to our military men and women. In tandem with other partners, we are all working to raise funds to bring troops home for the holidays or provide a special “home care package” delivery. The Planet Ford locations are selling this custom, one-of-a-kind Ford F-150. All of the proceeds will benefit the Boots for Troops charity. They are on a mission to uplift and empower the overall morale and mental well-being of our American troops – especially during the holidays.
Boots for Troops recognizes that many of our military personal are unable to afford the cost to travel home during the holidays, so the program pays for flights for our soliders to get home to their loved ones.
Planet Ford has donated a new 2018 Ford F-150 that is customized and featured on the TV show “Texas Metal“ that will air December 26, 2018, and Bill Carlton, owner of Ekstensive Metal Works, stars in the Velocity TV show.

About Boots for Troops
Boots for Troops also offers custom care packages to soldiers. To date, the charity has sent out 705 care packages tailored to each individual. The care packages are designed to raise the morale of U.S. troops all over the world. U.S. Navy Veteran Jimmy Rogers and his wife Lindsey founded the charity and work hard to find special items for every shipment, whether it’s a jersey from their favorite sports team, cookies from their hometown bakery or much-needed footwear.
“I found my fellow crew members were lonely and missed the comforts of home,” said Rogers. “When care packages came, they were often filled with poor quality items or things they didn’t need. Although sent by caring individuals, there was nothing personal about the packages. Every care package we send is customized to each recipient. What makes us unique is that they all contain a pair of boots.”
